I was wondering if you could help me diagnose a problem with my truck. I have a 2001 Ford Ranger extended cab and here is an inconsistent gap between the front panel and the door, where the panel that the door is attached to is bowing in at the bottom. It is on both sides and I have not hit anything. I was wondering if this just age and is normal or if something was wrong with it. If so, how could I fix it? Thanks

I had the same problem with my 94 Ranger, it turned out a cross member was welded in crooked at the factory which threw off the entire frame. The only way to fix it was to replace the entire frame which Ford refused to do and ended up buying my truck back. The dealership body shop manager discovered the reason I was having issues when he noticed the bed didn't exactly line up with the cab. I hope your problem is easier to fix...

94dal, thanks for the help. I thought that might be the case, but it was not. Thanks again for the suggestion through.
