Hello, I have a 95 Grand Cherokee that seems to have front end problems. It has Quadratrak and the latest is the front pinion gear got trashed, paper thin fingers on the gear. Finding parts is a problem. Thought I had a replacement but it came in and was in worse shape than mine. I bought  the Jeep used and already had to repair the transmission as it had no reverse (bought that way), front wheel bearings and who knows what else I will run into. It is sitting in the shop right now while trying to find front end parts. Any ideas would be helpful, no slams for buying used please, I already beat myself up enough for it.

Is your Grand Cherokee a WJ or a ZJ?

Parts for either are easy to find, whether its used or new, local and online.

http://quadratec.com.   great for stock parts or cookie cutter aftermarket parts.

http://rockauto.com.   Good for stock replacment parts

Hi Marc, thanks for the reply. My Grand Cherokee is a ZJ, it is a limited with the 5.2L (318CI) engine and automatic transmission. Thank you for the leads, I will check them out and see what they have...Jim

Hi James, My name is Rick, I have a 96 97 & 98 ZJ, I have a 98 XJ, and a 98 TJ. When I bought my 98 ZJ it had severe "death wobble". There are a litany of reasons for death wobble. I had changed the track bar (supposedly the #1 cause), the drag link steering gear box, wheel bearings (which I would have replaced regardless of death wobble), but what fixed it was the control arm bushings. The 98 ZJ is missing in this picture. The 2000 WJ was involved in a single car accident and is not running.

I trouble shot the "Death Wobble" with a go-pro camera mounted under the front end of the car and was able to replay the video in slow motion. I noticed a lot of movement in the front bushings of the control arms. I replaced them with polyurethane bushings and death wobble was exorcised from the car/truck.

I have found that I can get very good parts (usually less expensive) at Amazon. FYI
