This is my 1971 Jaguar E Type. I'm in progress with only 1,000 things left on my list to do, but I've completed a lot so far. It's not a traditional Chevy, but it is Chevy powered.
I added a frame, tossed in a 406 SBC Stroker with a 5 speed and a bunch of other things. It's almost too much fun to drive, which inhibits me from taking the time to finish!
There are some really cherry cars on your post and I'm not sure mine qualifies to be on the same page, but you did say, "Completed or in progress..."

Sure your in progress vehicle fits perfectly. I am working on my 67 Impala. I agree on the 1000 things to do. I have changed out every thing including a aluminium radiator, A 454 bore and stroked to 489 an MSC Atomic EFI. About 530 hp and 570 ft/lbs of torque with 520 ft/lbs. at 2000 RPM, 700R4 trans built by Monster Transmision. swapped a 10 bolt rear to a 12 bolt, Eaton Posi, Richmond 3.55 gears and Moser Axles. Also I put in a billet steel left carrier bearing main
in the rear which uses 1/2 inch vs 7/16 bolts ( that really strengthens the rear a lot ). All upper and lower control arms front and rear are tubular with Bilstien shocks tweaked by Hotchkiss for a 67 Impala and a Hotchkiss rear swaybar. 13 inch disk brakes up front and 11 rear. I replaced the engine bay and rear wiring harnesses. Oh and I am installing AC too. Did all the body work and is in Primer. Just need another 5000 to paint it. Love to see your progress as you go
The engine photo is a older pic before I installed the EFI ans AC stuff. The Alternator is on the opposite side also. Car hobby.jpeg    IMAG0037.jpg  IMAG0039.jpg  67 impala 026.JPG  67 impala 027.JPG  67 impala 028.JPG

I have been working on my 57 for a long time. It does run but still plenty of gremlins to work out and still working on doing some of the upholstery myself. My 32 Chevy I acquired when my uncle passed away. I am actually wanting to put in a LS motor and make it a daily driver.

Love the Blue on the 57. What color is it? Been looking for a blue for my 67 Impala. Finish off the 32 and keep it Old School. Just my 2 cents.

Phil, I know your really right about keeping it old school. I even thought about going with a flat head. But I'm planning on this being my retirement fun car and would love to make some cross country drives. For that reason it really needs to be very reliable.
The color of the 57 is actually a Ford color Blue Flame SZ it's common on their late model F150. I used PPG and he put in a little extra metallic. If the link works below watch the paint when the sun hits it.
