When I first joined the Air Force at the age of 20 in June 1977, I still didn't own a car. I was still busy riding my 1977 Suzuki GS-750 motorcycle. It wasn't till after I was first married in June 1980 that I got my first car which was a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS with an old tired 305 cubic inch engine connected to a 4-speed manual transmission. It was a yellow color that we later had repainted to white. My brother replaced the 305 with a rebuilt 350 cubic inch with a 4-bolt main. We added Gabriel Hi-Jacker shocks in the rear with 60 sized rear tires mounted on aluminum mag wheels. We also installed headers that ran to a pair of Cherry Bomb mufflers. Hindsight being 20-20, I wished we had never sold that car!

I had a '69 Coronet R/T 440 Tq/Flite. Edelbrock CH3B Holly 1050 cfm 3-bbl carb. 3.91 8-3/4 Sure-grip. opened exhaust, pinion snubber, S/S 8 & 7 leaf springs. trans built to Hemi specs. This car came from Mr. Norms Grand Spaulding Dodge in Chicago, and had several mystery parts internally. ran 13's on 7" tires track records at 2 strips and generally won eliminator every week......GOD I MISS THAT CAR!!!

Mine was a '71 Chevrolet C10. It was a fun truck. Some of the mods I did are the dual exhaust, headers, edlebrock carb and a truxedo vinyl tonneau.
